Firefox offers an amazing browsing experience, but if you are using some of the Google products there are ways to make it even better. Here are our recommendations of Firefox Adds on to improve it:
- Greasemonkey: You just need this one to be able to run some of the others listed below.
- Gmail Manager: If you have several Gmail accounts, it might be quite annoying to switch from one account to another. This add-on located at the bottom right of the browser will show you how many mails you have in each account and will enable you to go through all your accounts swiftly.
- Better Gmail 2: This one improves the way information is showed on Gmail (e.g. putting on the favicon how many unread emails you have).
- Better GReader: If you have hundreds of RSS feeds in Google Reader, it might be quite hard to go through them quickly. This adds-on, by giving different colours to the feeds, makes your task a hundred times easier.
- Better GCal: Get week numbers, colours for weekends and other little details that make a difference.
- Xoopit for Gmail: Finding documents in your web mail might be a pain in the ass and Xoopit is the right solution for that. It enables you to run search and filter the documents. A time and headache saver!
- Zemanta: Add pictures and relevant articles to your emails.
- Gspace: Embrace cloud computing by transforming the MB of your email box into a space to store documents.
- Blank Canvas Gmail Signature or WiseStamp: Add a customized signature to your emails.
- Google Gears: As Google says it, “a Firefox extension that allows to navigate on compatible websites offline and synchronize when going back online”.
If you know any other good Firefox add-on please leave a comment and I will add it to the list.
