Social Media and Arts

b-uncut

I have always found weird that the art market was such a conservative place: despite the fact that artists are here to challenge us, to break the mould of conformity, the industry itself seems to be controlled by a few people that concentrate powers and can exercise pressure on artists to produce, well, things that sell. But this is definitely going to change as intermediaries are increasingly cut off with social media.

Social media enable direct communication between artists and people enjoying arts. And as an example, I would like to introduce b-uncut, a recently released platform.  The aim of this art market place is to both help artist to work together (getting organized, receiving feedback on their creations from their peers, etc) and put in touch people that were previously separated by the middle men. So not only it enables you to have access to unique creation at a better price, but it completely changes the relationship you may have with an artists. If what I say does not make any sense, have a look at the video.
