			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>According to <a target="_blank" href="http://mashable.com/2010/08/10/twitter-official-share-buttons/">Mashable</a>, on Thursday Twitter will launch the official Tweet button, a convenient way to share webpages and articles, that will also display the URL share counter.</p>
<p>The Tweet button may not be as revolutionary as Facebook&#8217;s Like button, but it could become an important ranking signal for real time search engines.</p>
<p>Twitter&#8217;s official share button will come in three sizes and it will be highly customizable, but the feature that differentiates the Tweet button from TweetMeme&#8217;s Retweet button (used on BeAloud and several other websites) is the <strong>comprehensive count of shares<span id="more-4461"></span> and retweets</strong> across the social network.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Just on time for the World Cup, on Monday the 14th, Twitter team proudly announced us we will now be able to tag our tweets with the exact location. Twitter users will now be able to show their beloved friends and followers whether they are watching the game from their Texas ranch, tiny little flat in Paris or from the Ellis Park Stadium itself! The site’s latest tool was already launched in the USA and is about to roll out into another 65 countries in the following week.</p>

<p>And that is not it. Twitter teamed up with the Foursquare and Gowalla to let us check in to our favourite restaurants listed on the mentioned websites straight from Twitter. They said there were already lots of users tweeting their check-ins to the restaurants from those sites. It is a shame, however, that Foursquare and Gowalla still need to improve a lot on this side of the Atlantic.  13 venues in London? 10 in Paris? 0 in Prague? Foursquare has still a long way to go!</p>

<p>BPGlobalPR follower viral growth started with a <a target="_blank" href="http://twitter.com/BPGlobalPR/status/14313723220">debut Twitter status</a> that seemed official, but right after the <a target="_blank" href="http://twitter.com/BPGlobalPR/status/14315180394">second update</a>, the mocking intent behind the “BP Public Relations” tweets became obvious. <p>Online reputation management issues are not what BP needed right now. Social media channels like Facebook and Twitter can’t be ignored in 2010, but some large corporations seem to adapt at a slower pace to technology and communication changes: Nestlè’s palm oil PR mess showed how community management skills are key in corporate public relations; BP’s lack of social media monitoring is just another example of the importance of <strong>coordinated brand management</strong>, especially in times of crisis.</p>

<p><strong>Connect with Twitter </strong>lets users authenticate on Twitter from a pop-up on your website;</p>
<p>the <strong>Tweet Box</strong> allows tweeting directly from the application on your website: Tweets customised with pre-populated specific text (like @mentions and #hashtags) could make @anywhere a great way to generate buzz.</p>

<h2>Google Follow Finder</h2>
<p>Google released its first @anywhere integration on Google Labs: Enter a Twitter username on <a target="_blank" href="http://www.followfinder.googlelabs.com/">Follow Finder</a> to get a list of <em>tweeps</em> you may want to follow.</p>
